    Sewing Anxiety & Procrastination

Does procrastination count if you cut out like 4 or 5 outfits for my granddaughter and they lay in a pile in my sewing room for like a year? The worst part of that procrastination is that my granddaughter started walking by the stack the outfits were in and one day she says to me, “Mimi, are you ever going to sew these up for me? I hope you get them done before I turn 8!” Little snot, I can’t sew them up now because you have grown too much! LOL of course, she was 2 1/2 then, now she’ll be 5 in September..pretty sure that they are not going to fit anymore. BUT the good news is that all the fabrics can be put together in pieces for the patchwork look little girls are wearing now. Of course, if I don’t get it done soon, I won’t have enough patch fabric…….

Oh my goodness! I totally can relate to this podcast! I never knew exactly what to call it but i definitely get some sewing anxiety and I’m glad to know I’m not just crazy 🙂 . I went to Kansas State for fashion design a few years ago and drafted my first patterns since college for last Halloween. Thank goodness for a supportive boyfriend otherwise our A League of Their Own costumes would not have been finished. I almost gave up just because i couldn’t get the collar right and I was convinced that everyone would notice it wasn’t right. Thank you guys so much for making all of these podcasts, I absolutely love listening to both of you! I actually just bought the Ginger Jeans pattern after hearing you rave about them and I’m so excited to rush out and start them 🙂
